Definition of Finish Types:

Electro-Galvanized or EG: Continuous electro plating is a process that electrically deposits zinc to the surface of the chain.  The zinc plate is very thin and is a cosmetic coating with very little corrosion protection.  Then a clear/blue or yellow chrome is applied after the actual zinc coating, this prevents the zinc plate from oxidizing.

Self-Colored or SC: Chain lacking a coating or any finish.

Painted: A paint is applied to the chain.
