What’s new at Laclede Chain?

On April 23, 2010, Laclede Chain went through a management buyout, with two senior managers buying the company with the help of C3 Partners II located in Kansas City, MO.  This is an important change because it signals the commitment that both Jim Riley and Steve Heuett have to the success and growth of Laclede Chain.  “Our commitment to our customers and our people is very important to us” explains Jim Riley, President and CEO.  The company has been making chain since 1854, starting specifically to make chains for attaching oxen or horses to the Conestoga wagons for their trip along the Lewis and Clark trail to the West.  The current management team has been together since 2001 with few changes.  We are proud of all of our employees on our team.  They help us by making our products the best in the industry in a safe plant environment.  We had no lost time accidents in 2009 and this continues in 2010.  Our hourly and salary team work together to innovate the workplace and the things we do to supply products to our customers.

As you move through our website, you can see that we offer a real assortment of many grades of chains and accessories, including grades 30, 43, 70, 80 and 100.  Many others are also sold each year.  Special sizes, assemblies, and accessories are available and are made for our customers each year.  Packaging can be standard drums, half drums, bulk chain boxes, pails and reels.  Buy off-the-shelf or order special packaging too.
